MWBC

Mobile Radiation Response Units

Nucare’s Mobile Radiation Response Units are vehicle-integrated laboratories designed to bring high-performance radiation detection, screening, and decontamination to the field. Configured on heavy-duty truck chassis, these systems are purpose-built for flexible deployment in emergency response, nuclear facility monitoring, or population-wide screening operations.
 Two Available Models:
  • Model A: Mobile Whole Body Counter (MWBC)
Equipped with Nucare’s WBC, thyroid uptake system, and entrance portal monitor. Enables non-invasive internal contamination assessment using high-resolution NaI(Tl) detectors and full-body scanning with shadow shielding.
  • Model B: MWBC + Decontamination Booth
Adds a built-in shower-based decontamination zone, allowing individuals with confirmed contamination to undergo on-site washing and re-screening. A sealed wastewater system ensures containment and regulatory compliance.
Core Features Across Both Models:
  • Whole-body radiation monitoring with visual alignment aids
  • Thyroid and portal monitoring integrated into one mobile unit
  • Tablet and command-center-controlled data visualization & archiving
  • High-throughput processing suitable for population-scale events
  • Independent power source for field autonomy
  • Designed for operation by minimal staff in rapid-response scenarios
Deployment Use Cases
